I remember when school taxes went to the public schools only, but in their quest to destroy the public school system, Republicans began to share the money with charter schools and other government entities. On the front page of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch today, you’ll see $600,000 was paid to the co-founders of a charter school, the Kairos Academy, of backpay for three years before the school opened. Never trust Republican legislators with your money.
