Summer is a busy time and a lot is going on in June in the Standard Democrat coverage area. Music in the Park will be held every Friday beginning at 6 p.m. as local musicians will entertain at Malone Park in Sikeston. Jordan's Tide will be in concert on June 7 and Anna Catherine DeHart & the Dirt Road Express will perform June 14. The Millstones will take the stage on June 21 with the Chimes of Freedom scheduled to be in concert on June 28. All concerts are free of charge...

I sat in the Eagle office for about 15 minutes today on the corner of Main and Washington streets, and it was one car after another, and it was 1:30 in the afternoon. This person must only get to town at 2 in the morning not to see this traffic. ...
