SD ROUNDUP: Risco downs East Prairie, Sikeston girls basketball ends skid against NMCC

EAST PRAIRIE, Mo. -- Morgan Ludwig poured in 25 points to lead a balanced scoring attack during Risco's 74-69 road win over East Prairie Monday.

Nathan Burnett and Ethan Pipkin each scored 13 points while Drew Fortner added 10 for the Tigers (10-2).

East Prairie (5-6) had four players in double figures led by Derez Tipler's 19 points. Luke Marcum scored 15, Mason Bryars added 13 and Casey Gregory had 12.

NEW MADRID, Mo. -- Zaria Blissett-Hall scored a game-high 18 points to help put an end to Sikeston's four-game losing skid.

Larysa McClellon added 13 points for the Bulldogs (5-8), who led 25-13 at the half.

Keionte Tillman led NMCC (7-6) with 11 points.

Sikeston will host Notre Dame in a SEMO Conference matchup Thursday at 6 p.m. NMCC will host Portageville the same day.

Chaylea Mosby led Dexter (8-5) with 16 points. Hannah Thurmon added 11 and Cheyenne Mosby chipped in 10 for the Bearcats, who have won six games in a row.

Dakayla Duckworth paced Kennett (7-6) with 11 points.

DELTA, Mo. (SMNS) -- The top-seeded and undefeated Eagles scored all the points they would need at the end of the first quarter in the lopsided quarterfinal rout of the eighth-seeded and winless Rams in the opening round of the Scott-Mississippi Conference Tournament at Delta.

Leah Cauble had another banner night with a game-high 38 points and also tallied five rebounds, four steals and four assists to lead Oran (12-0). Kaylee Payne recorded 19 points, eight rebounds, eight steals and six assists for the Eagles, who flew out to a 49-point lead at halftime.

Ginny Mott had six points to pace Scott City (0-10).

Oran advances to the semifinals where they will meet fourth-seeded Chaffee at 7 p.m. Wednesday. The Red Devils ousted fifth-seeded host Delta 46-35 in Monday's last quarterfinal of the evening.

Connor Watkins scored a game-high 26 points, six more points individually than the entire seventh-seeded Eagles could put on the scoreboard to lead the second-seeded Blue Jays to victory in the opening round of the Scott-Mississippi Conference Tournament.

Ashonti Jones chipped in 14 points for Charleston (11-2), which flew out to a 31-4 lead at halftime and never allowed the Eagles to get close.

Jordan Harper and Grace Sutton each finished with seven points to pace East Prairie (0-8).

Johneisha Daniel dropped 17 points and 15 rebounds as the third-seeded Bravettes downed the sixth-seeded Hawks in the high-fouling quarterfinal affair of the Scott-Mississippi Conference Tournament.

Hailey Kesler bucketed 12 points for Scott County Central (6-5), which stormed out to post a 30-point advantage at the break that proved to be their saving grace as the Hawks tried to come back in the second half and managed to outscore the Bravettes by only seven points in their ultimately unsuccessful endeavor to erase the deficit.

Alyssa Tidwell had a game-high 19 points while Marissa Jones added 11 points to sustain Kelly (3-7).

Scott County Central will take on second-seeded Charleston at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday in the second semifinal of the night.
