Charleston at Hayti
Records: Charleston 0-1; Hayti 1-0
Series History: Hayti leads 9-5
Last Meeting: 2015, Hayti won 36-14
Last Week: Charleston lost to Sikeston 52-0; Hayti defeated Thayer 26-0
Outlook: Charleston has lost 22 games in-a-row and failed to score last week, gaining just 79 total yards. The Bluejays threw for 80 yards while their run-based offense managed just a negative yard rushing against Sikeston. Sophomore Tyrce Tate was a bright spot for Charleston, gaining 22 yards on the ground while catching two passes for 31 yards. Charleston played two quarterbacks with junior Lee Thomas Moody throwing for 31 yards on 3 of 9 passing and sophomore Kavion Thompson completing 3 of 4 passes for 49 yards. They have their work cut out for them against a Hayti defense that shut out the power running game of state-ranked Thayer last week, beating the Bobcats for the first time since 1993. Quarterback Allen Mills leads the Indian attack as has a number of big-play receivers to throw to, including Dayon Moore, Maurice Farr and Reginald Ford while Devante Robinson leads the ground attack.
