JEFFERSON CITY- Missouri's lakes, rivers and streams have helped shape the state's history. But a new report is warning their future could be in jeopardy, thanks to a toxic brew of chemicals. The research and policy organization Environment Missouri found that in 2012, industrial facilities dumped more than 2 million pounds of chemicals into Missouri's waterways. The group's spokeswoman, Jane Ramsay, said Missouri waters are 11th in the nation for carrying developmental toxins, which can impact the brains and bodies of children. ...
