ORAN -- Former Scott County Commissioner Durward Dover died June 1, 2007, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. He was 84. Born Oct. 6, 1922, in Matthews, son of the late John Don "J.D." and Byrd Dover, he was a U.S. Army Air Force veteran who served as a bombardier during World War II.
